The Music for Life Alliance honors the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic, founded by Orbert Davis, with an award and grant at Muriel’s annual Saturday-After-Thanksgiving concert. Chicago Jazz Philharmonic outreach programs continue to inspire youth and encourage them to reach for excellence.
The mission of the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic (CJP) education programs is to provide meaningful and accessible music education to Chicago area students while teaching important life skills and providing a pathway to higher education.
