KEYS’ Mission is to bring one-to-one instrument lessons and group music instruction to underserved inner-city children in Bridgeport, CT who have no other access to this empowering life experience.
Their “Music for Life” lessons program provides one-to-one instrument lessons taught by trained and experienced instructors to children whose families do not have the means to pay for music instruction. KEYS also provides instruments for students to use while enrolled in the KEYS music program. KEYS offers one-to-one instrument lessons at 24 Bridgeport schools, organizes group music programs and workshops, runs a non-audition orchestra, band and chorus at Bridgeport’s Klein Auditorium, coordinates summer programs, and partners with several non-profit organizations, reaching a population of over 600 Bridgeport students each year.
